By supporting charitable organizations in a variety of areas, the foundation helps to build a stronger, healthier community.

2010-2014

Background:

In 2009, the idea, purpose, aim, vision, mission, and organizational strategic goals of CANAM Foundation were laid during the advent of CANAM Water & Beverage Inc.’s commitment to establish new life sustaining brand of Great Lakes in the city and the community of Tecumseh and its surrounding localities in Michigan, USA. Through the auspices of the supporters and shareholders of CANAM Water Group, CANAM Foundation managed to initiate and support projects and programs that are vital for the well-being of humanity and environment. So far, Foundation in collaboration with its stakeholders participated and supported at grass roots levels in the fields of art, culture, education, research, environment, health, sports, entertainment, travel, tourism, parks, social sciences, child & women rights & development, animal life & dignity, people at risk, and other associated humanity subjects and sectors.

In order to make the best use of available funding, the CANAM Foundation will give highest consideration to:

Identified community needs and gaps that are of high priority.

Have the potential to make sustainable, positive change in the quality of life.

Leverage resources through funding partnerships, matching grants, or sharing of other resources.

Are passionately creative, innovative, and inspiring.

Can be sustained without continued funding from the Foundation.

Improve the quality of charitable organizations by means of adding resources.

Encourage collaboration and cooperation among charities, and do not duplicate existing services: encourage volunteerism, civic, or community involvement.
